LeapFrog's latest products that are available in stores now with a few for close future dates.

Roll & Go Rocking Horse
Suitable for 6 to 36 months | RRP: $24.99ea
Available from all major retailers and independent toy stores across Australia

Roll & Go Rocking Horse delights little ones with fun responses as they horse around. Tots can press the light-up saddle to hear playful sound effects and friendly phrases, such as “Let’s go on a ride together!” Patting the horse will set it rocking, playing fun songs, sounds and rhymes. Parents can also encourage active play by pushing the horse along to start a game of chase -- as the horse rolls, lights blink and songs play, encouraging bub to crawl and build gross motor skills.
With each touch, Roll & Go Rocking Horse provides charming responses, encouraging interaction, introducing new words, and helping little ones connect cause with effect. Wobbles teaches sitting, whilst rolling encourages crawling. Bub can roll along to classic tunes such as “Camptown Races” and the “William Tell Overture”, and silly pony sounds, keeping babies playing and racing along. Packed with learning fun, the Roll & Go Rocking Horse is a loyal companion that grows with your child.

Mobile Med Kit
Suitable for 2+ years | RRP: $34.99ea
Available from all major retailers and independent toy stores across Australia

The Mobile Med Kit will tickle the funny bones of little ones while encouraging learning, combining two popular types of play.

Toddlers can press the siren on the ambulance to launch medical missions, then race over to help patients, with their medical tools on hand -- a stethoscope, otoscope, thermometer and syringe -- to role play giving, and getting, check-ups at the Doctor.

Rolling the ambulance and pressing the siren prompts songs, such as “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes,” as well as fun phrases that teach about the human body, health and hygiene. Friendly sound effects help prepare kids for real medical checkups with role-play fun.

This one here my little darl loved playing with at Funtastic HQ. Niah is 1 and has a little Sophia lamb at home that has a stethoscope that goes over its heart and makes sounds, Niah absolutely adores this and being able to play with her lamb.
A toy such as the Mobile Med Kit is a fabulous way to role play with the kids and be able to get kids used to those 'tools' that doctors will use. Children will learn to understand what they are used for and how they help in a fun way.

Fridge Phonics
Suitable for 2+ years | RRP: $39.99 ea
Available from all major retailers and independent toy stores across Australia

Learning is now back on the fridge with LeapFrog’s popular Fridge Phonics.

Ride with Tad on a learning adventure and sing along to the playful Alphabet song, teaching the sound each letter makes.

The magnetic lower case letter tiles combine tactile learning with letter learning. The big and bright letters are easy for little fingers to grasp and develop fine motor skills.

As soon as I saw this one I definitely knew it had to be put on the Christmas list for Niah. Niah is starting to stand up and reach all the magnets on the fridge - anything that she can reach will get ripped down and taken to her play area and claimed.
This Fridge Phonics is a great way to keep the kids occupied if they love being close to you and end up visiting you whilst you are in the kitchen cooking dinner etc, whilst you are working away like the good housewife or housedad you can keep the kids entertained and out of the way with a fun activity that has them learning sounds, letter and singing the Alphabet song.

Reading is something we love in this household. There is not a day that goes past that Dan & I don't read to Niah. It's a ritual book story before bed for Niah and it's a great way to engage with kids.
During the day Niah will always pull out her books and flip through them. As Niah starts to get older it would be good to take books in the car or read them herself at home with the LeapReader Junior Book Pal who will be able to be there to read with your child whilst you are preoccupied.

LeapPad 3
Suitable for 3-9 years | RRP $169 ea
Available from 1 October from all major retailers and independent toy stores across Australia Work with all LeapFrog Explorer software/titles

The popular LeapPad kids tablet has just got better!

Sleeker and thinner in design, the LeapPad3 is the fastest, highest-performance five inch tablet ever from LeapFrog.

With kid safe Wi-Fi, a new capacitive touch screen along with enough memory to store 20,000 photos, a two mega-pixel front and back camera, video recorder and lithium rechargeable battery, the LeapPad 3 has 5 times more power than the previous LeapPad iteration.

Still 100% kid tough, kid safe and kid appropriate, the LeapPad 3 has 4GB capacity to hold over 500 educator approved games, videos, and apps, offering an awesome multimedia experience.

“Parents searching for their child’s first tablet are confronted with many choices that say they are designed for kids,” said Dr. Jody Sherman Levos, director of LeapFrog’s learning team. “LeapFrog offers parents the perfect introductory tablets that are high performing, and have access to a kid-safe web experience designed for a child to explore their passions and interests along with a learning library of high quality games and apps.”

“Parents can feel confident that when they hand their child a LeapFrog tablet they are providing the perfect first tablet experience designed for kids – full of learning and packed with fun.”

This one is an exciting one. It's the beloved LeapPads that I used to hear so much about when I didn't have kids and would see/hear from others Mothers and my family members who had children all about them. This is basically a child's version of an iPad, children don't need those 'big adult toys' that allow them to get into anything. Having a LeapPad is a safe fun way to control what your child is looking at and doing on there.
Something I loved about this is that the girls from Funtastic showed you just how durable and kid smart it is by throwing it across the floor, banging it on the table and carrying it from the string pen - the LeapPad was fine, not a smashed screen or break in sight!
I know that this will be an item that I will invest in for Niah, being that we are going overseas early next year I think I'll invest in this a bit earlier then the suitable suggested age just so we can have something to play with on the plane and during the holiday time that I know will be safe.
