Launching in January 2014, music and fashion icon Gwen Stefani joins OPI with the launch of 7 new limited edition lacquers featuring standout colours in breakthrough finishes.

The Gwen Stefani by OPI collection is designed for anyone who is interested in style, glamour and music. OPI was looking at designing a collection that was dramatic and diverse, yet glamorous. The brand was looking at celebrating the role of music as a major influence in fashion. After a chance meeting at the 2013 Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala, that featured the theme “Punk: Chaos to Couture”, between OPI’s Artistic Director Suzi Weiss-Fischmann and Gwen Stefani, the pair realised they shared similar values, and hence the collaboration began.

Known for her trademark red lips, bold eye makeup and nail art, Stefani uses beauty to accessorise her style. The Gwen Stefani by OPI collection presents the latest in pigments and finishes, whilst combining elements of haute couture and street fashion. Highlights from the collection include a bold red lacquer that pays homage to Gwen Stefani’s signature lipstick; two new semi-matte satin finishes in gold and black, that should be worn without a top coat; two glossy crème shades; one glittery hue, and a mirror finish for those who are just as wild as the fashion icon.

Gwen’s signature red OPI hue – Over & Over A-Gwen – is available in a boxed set which includes Swarovski black crystals and silver, gold and pewter studs in bar, square, diamond and circle shapes for creating unique nail designs, and special nail glue for easy application, $24.95 RRP.

Gwen Stefani by OPI lacquers contain no DBP, Toluene, or Formaldehyde, and feature OPI’s exclusive ProWide™ Brush for the ultimate in application.

Available at selected salons and David Jones in January (if not before).
